Robert received his Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University School of Law in 1993. He also graduated from Southern Technical Institute with dual Bachelors’ degrees in Industrial Engineering and Apparel Manufacturing Engineering Technology. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Robert worked as an engineer with Southern Bell.

Robert is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Clayton County Bar Association, and has litigation experience in the areas of local government, workers compensation for both employees and employers, employment discrimination, personal injury, commercial transactions, criminal law, domestic relations, adoptions, medical malpractice, contracts, and general civil litigation, in both federal and state Courts.

Additionally, Robert has extensive practice in appellate work before the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and the U. S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

Believing in giving back to the community, Robert has volunteered and represented students for the past 13 years in the Truancy Intervention Project, as well as volunteered as attorney for Keep Clayton County Beautiful, Inc. In 1995 and 1997, he received the Gwinnett County Pro Bono award for outstanding service to indigent persons. As a result of his commitment to children, Robert has been appointed by the State Bar of Georgia as an Advisor to the Children and Courts Committee for the State Bar of Georgia for the past four years. Robert also serves as an Attorney Coach for the Mock Trial Team at North Clayton High School.
